Good afternoon, I have a couple of mid-week updates for you.
First, the date for the in-person graduation has been changed from the
originally planned date of November 28 to August 7. Thank you to
everyone who responded to the survey. There has been no decision
regarding the prom as of yet. I will keep you informed as to
opportunities for input and feedback regarding this.
Please remember the schedule next week for underclassmen to clean out their lockers. Students in
grades 9-11 who will be remaining in Salem Public Schools may keep any
school-issued items until the fall. Students who will be transferring
out of district should plan to return these items on their assigned day
and time:
9th grade: June 16
10th grade: June 17
11th grade: June 18
For each grade, students should come during the time slot allotted according to their last name:
10-11: A-C
11-12: D-F
12-1: G-K
1-2: L-O
2-3: P-S
3-4: T-Z
If students have any issues in coming on these days, please email the
appropriate Assistant Principal (Mr. Tombleson for 9th grade, Mr. Mruk
for 10th and 11th grades) to arrange an alternate time.
Any 12th grader who has not returned school issued items should do so
on the 18th or 19th and can come during the alphabetically assigned
times listed above. CAPS AND GOWNS will also be distributed during
those times!
As of today, the last day of school for students remains June 24. If that changes I will let you know.
Finally, you may have seen this parent survey regarding Salem Public
Schools' Remote Learning this spring. Thank you to those of you who
have already responded. I am linking again below so that you have the
opportunity to provide this valuable feedback.
Have a great week and stay safe!
