Education

The Education pathway allows students to explore careers in the field of education and prepare for teaching at the PK-12 level. Courses in this pathway include foundations of education, child development, writing, public speaking, and mathematics.

Health & Human Services

The Health and Human Services pathway allows students to explore and prepare for a broad range of careers in healthcare, social work, and criminal justice. Shared support courses for the HHS disciplines include ethics, sociology, psychology, and statistics. There is a combined degree program with Spanish available at Salem State for the healthcare studies and criminal justice majors.

Salem State University Model

  • Sophomore and Junior Year: One course each semester at Salem High School (12 credits)
  • Senior Year: Three courses each semester on the SSU campus (18 credits)
