Salem High School Programming and Website Design scholars learn several coding languages and grow the skills to pursue the workforce and/or college study.
Scholars enroll in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses including:
- Computer Science Essentials
- Computer Science Principles
- Computer Science A
- Cybersecurity

The Programming and Website Design program offers work-based learning, including school-based internships and cooperative education opportunities with local businesses, enabling scholars to enter the workforce or post-secondary education upon graduation.

Scholars are exposed to multiple coding languages — with an emphasis on JavaScript and Python — and use Unity3D to create games and applications for multiple devices. In addition, scholars begin with MIT App inventor as an introduction to programming and coding as an avenue for all levels to engage in the program.
