Class of 2023 Graduation

I hope this message finds you all well and excited for the Class of 2023 Commencement.  I am writing to inform you that tonight’s ceremony will be held in the Veterans Memorial Field House at Salem High School.  Due to the forecast of thunderstorms tonight followed up by rain, we have made the difficult decision to move the graduation ceremony indoors.  

By relocating the ceremony indoors, we will be able to provide a comfortable environment to celebrate this momentous occasion without any concern for the inclement weather.  

Details of the revised ceremony are as follows: 
Date: June 2, 2023
Time: 6:00pm 
Venue: Veterans Memorial Field House @ Salem High School 
Address: 77 Willson Street  Salem, MA 01970 

Family and Friends: 
You will enter through Salem High School main entrance and field house doors. If you enter through the main entrance of Salem High School there will be ushers available to bring you to the field house.  

 If you need handicap accessible seating please reach out to Lisa Mansfield, lmansfield@salemk12.org, so that we can reserve your seating.  

Restrooms are located in the lobby of Salem High School and the 1st floor of the field house.

Graduates:   
Graduates should plan on being at the Salem High School Auditorium for 5:00pm.  At this time they will receive further instructions on how they will enter the field house.  

Dignitaries and Faculty:
 Dignitaries and faculty that are part of the ceremony should meet in the hallway outside of the Black Cat Cafe at 5:30pm.  

We understand that this change may cause disappointment for those looking forward to an outdoor ceremony.  However, we want to assure you that the significance of this event remains unchanged and we are looking forward to celebrating our graduates’ achievement with you this evening.
