‘Twas an unmatched era of Salem High boys and girls basketball dominance spanning 15 years from 1980 to 1995. This is the perfect time to remember those halcyon days as we mark their 45th, 35th and 30th anniversaries as state champions.
It started with the undefeated (27-0) Division 1 state champion Salem High girls basketball team of 1980, led by All-Scholastic center Marie Grant and head coach Tim Shea.
