Weekly Memo 1/9/22

Good Afternoon,
I am hopeful that you all made the most of snow day on Friday. I spent most of the morning having snow thrown at me by Leah and Ella. They had a blast and it allowed me to unplug for a few hours.

The experiences you create daily for our scholars is what inspires and provides an opportunity to create a vision for their future. There is saying I often reflect on, you don’t know what you don’t know. These words remind me in order to support what can be we must build experiences that engage and show our kids possibility. For too many of our kids the goals of being able to attend college and land a career of their choice is only something that can be read or talked about, but is not really for them. We know this is not true, and why we come into work everyday and give our all in order to provide them evidence that everyone one of our scholars can be, do and pursue any dream they can dream. I am proud of the work and community you have built in the face of so many unknowns. I challenge you to reflect on all the opportunities and joy you have created during such a difficult time. I see you and am proud of the experiences our kids have at Salem High School. You Rock!!!
